Deep Ellum TV

You are looking at work by the artist who pushed Dallas to become a mural city.

The wall

Frank Campagna — Godfather of Deep Ellum murals — painted this classic TV-shaped wall piece on Elm Street. Campagna has been covering Deep Ellum walls since the early 1980s and founded Kettle Art gallery. The neighborhood's mural culture started with venue calendars and tunnel jams; this is one of the survivors still pointed out on the official Art Walk.
