Clyde Barrow's Grave — Western Heights Cemetery
One half of America's most mythologized outlaw couple is in Oak Cliff dirt.
The story
One half of America's most mythologized outlaw couple is in Oak Cliff dirt.
Clyde Chestnut Barrow is buried at Western Heights Cemetery under crape myrtles, near brother Buck. After the May 23, 1934 ambush in Louisiana, his funeral in Dallas drew thousands. Fans still leave flowers and coins. The main gate is often locked; locals point to steps where the fence ends on the east side. Be respectful — this is a working historic cemetery, not a theme park.
