Magnolia Hotel rooftop Pegasus
The horse that still flies over downtown — sibling to the Omni original.
The story
The horse that still flies over downtown — sibling to the Omni original.
The Magnolia Building (1922) still wears a Pegasus on its roof — the millennium replacement lit at midnight on January 1, 2000 after the 1934 original came down. Look up at Commerce and Akard for the flying red horse that defined the skyline for decades; then go see the restored original at the Omni plaza.
