The spot you scanned

Pioneer Plaza — the cattle drive.

49 bronze steers and 3 trail riders, each steer six feet high, by artist Robert Summers of Glen Rose, Texas. The herd crosses an artificial ridge, past a man-made limestone cliff, with a stream and a waterfall. Opened 1994, on 4.2 acres donated by the City of Dallas.

You're standing where the Shawnee Trail ran — the earliest cattle route north, through Austin, Waco, and Dallas. Look down: historic Texas ranch brands are set into the sidewalk on the west side, including the 6666 Ranch brand.
